Running is a high impact dynamic activity that places significant stress on different parts of the body. A specific assessment of your biomechanics while running can provide valuable information about the cause of symptoms, and provide explanations for pain.
What is a running assessment?
- Our physiotherapists are experienced in running technique assessment, and understand how your running technique impacts on your body.
- Our video analysis will enable us to provide an overview of your individual running technique. From this video your physiotherapist will then be able to perform specific isolated tests to further investigate potential areas of weakness, tightness or overload.
- Based on the findings your physiotherapist will devise a specific treatment plan with a focus on mobility, flexibility, strength, technique and endurance, and advise on appropriate running programs.
- Our running assessments are often utilised as part of a rehabilitation plan.
