Up & Active can conduct formalised workplace ergonomic assessments and training in the workplace, individualised to the business and clients needs. Up and Active also provides onsite manual handling training including safe lifting, load management and facilitation of optimising physical work.
Ideal sitting, standing and working postures can be difficult to attain due to the repetitive or sustained nature of most work and many recreational or home duties. Ergonomic advice forms part of a regular physiotherapy treatment plan. However, Up & Active can also be contacted to conduct formalised workplace ergonomic assessments and training in the workplace, individualised to the business and clients needs. Up and Active also provides onsite manual handling training including safe lifting, load management and facilitation of optimising physical work. This may include correction of computer and desk set up, modification of a workstation and providing regular stretch or move programs.

Functional and Pre-Employment Screenings
Many employers now require new staff to undergo physical screenings as part of the recruitment process. Up & Active regularly conducts pre-employment screenings based on referral requirements for various companies in the Darling Downs. The assessment is conducted and paperwork finalised in a timely manner. Please speak with administration if you require pre-employment screenings.
Manual Handling Training
We can provide manual handling training in your workplace, tailored to your needs to meet your workplace requirements, staff needs and environmental individuality. This will often a formal presentation followed by physical training and education in the workplace such as teaching correct lifting, bending, pushing or pulling techniques.
